Ducks Vs. Stars: Jonas Hiller, Kari Lehtonen Face Off In Battle Of Hot Goalies

In the 2010-2011 season, the Ducks beat the Stars in four of their six meetings, winning two of three in both Anaheim and Dallas.

The red-hot Anaheim Ducks return home Friday night, looking for their fifth straight win as they host the Pacific Division-leading Dallas Stars at Honda Center in Anaheim. The Stars (5-1-0) have won four straight games of their own, and are on the second game of a four-game road trip. Friday's contest features a battle of hot goalies.

Jonas Hiller lost the opening game of the season in Helsinki, Finland, but has been on fire since. In his last three starts, all vicoties for the Ducks, Hiller has saved 73 of 76 shots, and picked up his 12th career shutout Friday night against San Jose.

Kari Lehtonen gets the start in goal Friday night against Anaheim, per Mark Stepneski of ESPN Dallas. Lehtonen is looking for his sixth win in six starts. He has allowed just eight goals in five games, and his .953 save percentage is the third-highest in the NHL among goalies with at least three games this season.

Anaheim was 26-13-2 at Honda Center last season and finished their year winning nine of their last 12 regular season games at home. This season, the Ducks are 2-0 at Honda Center and technically 3-0 at home, as their October 8 game in Stockholm, Sweden counted as a home contest.
