Ducks Vs. Blues Final Score: Big Third Period Gives Ducks 4-2 Win

Less than 24 hours after the St. Louis Blues scored three goals in the final period to defeat the Sharks, the Anaheim Ducks gave them a taste of their own medicine.

It was Corey Perry night in Anaheim, and the reigning league MVP recorded a power play goal as part of a big third period for the Ducks. It was Perry's first goal of the year, and hopes are high for the winger, who led the league in scoring last season. Francois Beauchemin and Bobby Ryan also recorded goals in a busy third period en route to a 4-2 Anaheim victory.

Ryan had two goals in the game. His first got the Ducks on the board in the opening period. The Blues were able to score once each in the second and third periods, but goalie Jonas Hiller did a fine job in front of the net, saving 28 of 30 chances.

The Ducks are off to a great start in this young season, with a record of 3-1-0 thus far. The last time the Ducks started out with a record this good was the 2006-07 season. You may remember that one. It ended with an Anaheim Stanley Cup.
