The Anaheim Ducks have announced a few roster moves today, cutting six players from their training camp roster. Centers Trevor Smith and MacGregor Sharp, along with goaltender Timo Pielmeier and defenseman Jake Newton were assigned to Syracuse of the AHL.
Sharp played in eight games with the Ducks last season, and Trevor Smith saw time with the New York Islanders in 2008-2009, playing in seven games.
In addition, goaltender Igor Bobkov was assigned to the Ducks' junior team, and left winger Stephane Veilleux was released from his pro tryout.
From the Ducks:
Anaheim now has 30 players remaining on its 2010 Training Camp Roster – 18 forwards, 10 defensemen and two goaltenders.
The next game for the Ducks is Monday night at Staples Center against the Kings.
