Ryan Jones and Dustin Penner tallied for the Oilers, who saw their four-game win streak halted but still earned at least one point for the sixth time in their last seven games (5-1-1).
Nikolai Khabibulin finished with 30 saves in the losing effort.

But the Oilers scored twice in a 3:10 span later in the third stanza to tie the score.
After Jones' wrister into the upper corner of the net from the left circle cut Edmonton's deficit in half midway through the period, Penner's ninth goal at 13:39 knotted the contest.
