Ducks Vs. Coyotes: Anaheim Ends Road Trip With 3-1 Win In Phoenix

Phoenix, AZ (Sports Network) - Luca Sbisa scored his first career goal and Jonas Hiller made 31 saves to backstop Anaheim to a 3-1 victory over Phoenix at Jobing.com Arena. Joffrey Lupul and Corey Perry also tallied for the Ducks, who put the brakes on a two-game slide. Anaheim has claimed three of the first four meetings in the six-game season series.

Shane Doan notched the only goal for the Coyotes, who have dropped three out of four. Ilya Bryzgalov turned aside 21 shots in defeat. Saku Koivu sent a backhand pass to the left point, where Sbisa blasted it past Bryzgalov to open the scoring 4:38 into the game. Lupul's wrist shot from below the right circle less than four minutes later made it 2-0 before a giveaway led to Perry beating Bryzgalov with a wrister from the lower left circle with 4:40 remaining in the opening session. Phoenix finally got on the board with 4:21 to go in the middle period when Doan wristed the rebound of a Ray Whitney shot past Hiller.

Anaheim is 14-2-2 when scoring three goals or more...Perry has eight goals and 14 points in his last 10 games...Hiller is 11-3-2 in 17 career meetings versus the Coyotes while Bryzgalov is 10-8-2 in 20 career games against Anaheim...Doan has 28 goals in 80 career matchups against the Ducks.
