Anaheim Ducks Reassign Green, Macenauer To Syracuse, Now Have 23 Healthy Players On Roster

The Anaheim Ducks have reassigned left wing Josh Green and center Maxime Macenauer to the Syracuse Crunch of the AHL, the club announced today. This leaves the Ducks with 23 healthy players on a 26-man roster:

GoaltendersJonas Hiller, Curtis McElhinney

CentersRyan Getzlaf, Saku Koivu, Ryan Carter, Todd Marchant, Kyle Chipchura

Right WingersTeemu Selanne, Corey Perry, George Parros, Dan Sexton, Troy Bodie

Light WingersBobby Ryan, Jason Blake, Aaron Voros, Matt Beleskey

DefensemenLuca Sbisa, Lubomir Visnovsky, Sheldon Brookbank, Paul Mara, Andy Sutton, Brendan Mikkelson, Cam Fowler

Toni Lydman, Joffrey Lupul, and Jason Jaffray are also on the roster, but injured. Arthur from Anaheim Calling speculates that the roster might be just about finalized, save one roster move:

Lydman has skated recently, but a date for his return still has not been set.  The Ducks are carrying a two-way contract defenseman in Brendan Mikkelson and an ELC defenseman in Cam Fowler.  The former may be sent down to accommodate Lydman, while the latter may be sent back to his junior team in Windsor, though after nine games, a year of Fowler's ELC would toll.

The Ducks open their regular season on Friday in Detroit against the Red Wings.
