Anaheim Ducks Win 5-2 In Dallas Over Stars

Dallas, TX (Sports Network) - George Parros netted the eventual game-winner in the second period and Jonas Hiller stopped 35 shots as Anaheim downed Dallas, 5-2, at American Airlines Center.

Bobby Ryan scored twice with Teemu Selanne and Corey Perry adding a goal and assist each for the Ducks, who had dropped two of three.

Brian Sutherby and Loui Eriksson tallied for the Stars, who have lost three of four.

Kari Lehtonen surrendered all five goals on only 26 shots in the setback.

Anaheim struck three times in the second period to take the lead for good, as Ryan tallied at the 28-second mark and at 10:30, then Parros notched his first goal of the season 53 seconds later when he popped a breakaway chance off a fallen Lehtonen that bounced behind the prone goaltender.

Sutherby's even-strength tally at the 6:08 mark of the third drew Dallas within a goal, but any hopes of a Stars comeback were dashed with 9:36 left in regulation.

Stars defenseman Stephane Robidas was given a major for boarding and a game misconduct for his hit from behind on Ducks forward Matt Beleskey, whose head hit the dasher and he bled from a cut above his eye.

Selanne's power-play goal at 10:11 and Perry's marker on the advantage with 4 1/2 remaining locked up the win.

Dallas picked up the game's first goal with 3:54 to play in the first period, as Eriksson potted a slick pass from Mike Ribeiro for a power-play score.

Parros, a graduate of Princeton, notched his first tally since the Ducks' season-ending 7-2 win over Edmonton on April 11, 2010. It was his 14th career goal...Ryan notched his first multi-goal effort since April 8, 2010 at Dallas...It was the third straight game Dallas was held to two goals or less, after scoring three-or-more in each of its first five contests this year.
