Leader Matt Kuchar will have to wait until the middle of the day to get his second round going as he is part of the fifth group to tee off on hole No. 1 in the afternoon at 3:12 p.m. ET on Friday at the 2013 Northern Trust Open. Kuchar shot a 7-under 64 in the first round. He will be joined by K.J. Choi and John Huh.
Phil Mickelson will try and shake off a disappointing opening round as he gets going at 3:01 p.m. on hole No. 10 along with Keegan Bradley and Bill Haas. Mickelson is tied for 47th after an even-par first round. Bradley is tied with Mickelson and many others, while Haas is one stroke better after a 1-under Thursday.
The American trio of Ryan Moore, Dustin Johnson, and Jim Furyk are also set to begin at 3:01 p.m. on the first hole. Moore joins Haas at 1-under, while Johnson is at risk of missing the cut after first-round struggles. Furyk is position to challenge over the weekend as he shot a 3-under on the first day of action.
Sergio Garcia got off to a fast start with a 6-under first round. He'll be up early, as his round is scheduled to begin at 10:11 a.m. (7:11 a.m. local time). Garcia will be accompanied by South Africa's Charl Swartzel and Sweden's Carl Pettersson. Swartzel is also in contention at 2-under, while Pettersson needs a big day to extend his tournament after a 6-over initial round.
Second-round play will be covered live by the Golf Channel from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m. For a complete list of tee times, check out the PGA Tour's official tournament page.
