After spending all of December without a blemish to their record, the Los Angeles Clippers enter Friday's match up with the Los Angeles Lakers looking for their first win of 2013. Winners of 17 in a row to close out 2012, the Clippers fell to the Denver Nuggets Tuesday night at the Pepsi Center and followed that up with a loss Wednesday night in Oakland against the Golden State Warriors.
The Los Angeles Lakers are also looking to rebound from a shaky start to 2013. After winning six of their last seven games in December, the Lakers looked lethargic during Tuesday night's home loss to the Philadelphia 76ers. The Lakers trail the Clippers by nine games in the Pacific Division and are six and half games back of the Golden State Warriors for second place.
The Clippers won their first meeting between the two, the second game of the season, 105-95. Tip-off for Friday night's game from Staples Center (The Clippers' version) is set for 7:30 p.m. PT and will be broadcast on ESPN.
