The UCLA Bruins came out sloppy after receiving some national publicity last week, and they paid the price with a loss at home to Oregon State. With the team needing to rebound and pick up their first Pac-12 win of the season, the Bruins travel to Colorado to take on a Buffaloes team that is coming off an emotional win over Washington State.
SB Nation's UCLA blog, Bruins Nation, is interested to see how new head coach Jim Mora handles the loss and prepares his team.
Let's see if Jim Mora is really the catalyst for change in this program or if the Bruins are going to stumble through another listless, mediocre season of football (which has been the one consistent feature under Chianti Dan). The Bruins are heavily favored, so while it's a road game, this is a game that the Bruins should be able to put away early, if they can pick up their focus and intensity, and eliminate the mistakes and lack of urgency that cost them last week.
Given all of the talent in the Pac-12 South, a loss today for the Bruins would likely take them out of the running for the division crown. Fortunately for them, they enter as three-touchdown favorites and should not have too many issues moving the ball against CU's young defense.
Kickoff from Boulder is set for 6 p.m. ET.
