"You give me a uniform, you give me a number on my back, and I'll give you the guts."
Warner Brothers released the trailer for its new movie on the life and times of Jackie Robinson -- "42" -- on Thursday, and if the short preview is any indication, baseball fans will be in for a treat when the film hits theaters nationwide April 12, 2013. The film's plot follows Robinson's signing with the Brooklyn Dodgers under the guidance of team president and general manager Branch Rickey. It also takes a broader look at the integration of baseball and the polarized atmosphere created by it.
The cast features Harrison Ford as Rickey, Alan Tudyk as Ben Chapman and Christopher Meloni as Leo Durocher. Chadwick Boseman will play Robinson.
"42" was written and directed by Brian Helgeland.
