Clippers Exercise Fourth-Year Option On Guard Eric Beldsoe

The Los Angeles Clippers are making certain Eric Bledsoe will be around at least for the duration of the 2013-14 season. The Clippers exercised their fourth-year option on the point guard, which will ensure he stays past what will be his third year in the league.

Bledsoe has averaged 5.6 points, 2.9 assists, 2.4 rebounds, and 19 minutes over his career. He averaged 3.3 points in 40 regular season games last year, but he was recovering from surgery from a torn meniscus in his knee that kept him out of action to start last season. He performed very well during their playoff run, averaging nearly eight points per game while hitting nearly 60 percent of his shots and over 40 percent of his three pointers. He performed even better the deeper the playoffs went, averaging 11.5 points per game and increasing his shooting percentages to 70 percent from the field and 50 percent from three-point land.
