2012 FedEx Cup Standings: Tiger Woods In Second Place

Tiger Woods leads a contingent of Southern California-grown PGA pros in the top 30 of the FedEx Cup playoff standings, all who will move on to the Tour Championship.

Rory McIlroy of Northern Ireland enters in first place after a win at the 2012 BMW Championship. Woods, the top Southern Californian, got a fourth-place finish in the tournament, enough to move him into second place in the Cup standings. San Diego native Phil Mickelson is in fourth place.

Hunter Mahan of Orange, Calif., is No. 23, with four top-10 finishes and two tour wins. Rickie Fowler, the 23-year-old from Murrieta, Calif., is in 27th position.

Former San Diego State player Scott Piercy rounds out the group in 30th place.

The Tour Championship begins Sept. 17. For full FedEx Cup Standings, check out the PGA website.
