Olympics 2012: Women's Beach Volleyball Final Headlines Schedule

The United States will be featured in quite a few events on Wednesday. The U.S. has performed very well as a whole in London, especially in gymnastics and swimming. As for today, women's volleyball, men's basketball and track & field events headline the schedule.

Here is a look at the events scheduled for Wednesday, their start times and where they'll be televised.

The women's beach volleyball match will be an all-American one. It'll place Misty May-Treanor and Kerri Walsh Jennings up against two USC Trojans grads in April Ross and Jennifer Kessy. The match is scheduled to begin at 1 p.m. PST and will be both streamed live and aired through tape-delay on NBC.

Team USA basketball will take on Australia at 2:15 p.m. PST. You'll find the game on the NBC Sports Network. The city of Los Angeles has many ties to the game; Kobe Bryant and Chris Paul play for the Lakers and Clippers, respectively, while Kevin Love and Russell Westbrook played college ball at UCLA.

Four gold medals are up for grabs in Track & Field. They will be awarded in the women's long jump, women's 400m hurdles, women's 200m finals and men's 110m hurdles. These events will begin at noon and will be televised on tape-delay on NBC.
