Sunday's NASCAR race at Pocono Raceway in New York ending up having a devastating aftermath. After a 90-minute delay, the latest entry in the 2012 Sprint Cup Series was cut short due to thunderstorms after 106 laps of the scheduled 160-lap race. In the parking lot afterwards, nine fans were injured by a lightning strike and at least one fan lost their life. In the race itself, Jeff Gordon picked up a win he absolutely needed to have as the cutoff for the Sprint Cup draws closer. Kevin Harick had a disappointing finish, placing 16th but retaining a spot in the top 10 of the overall standings.
