The Pac-12 Conference got off to a relatively good start on Thursday night with three of their four teams winning, including UCLA beating Rice 49-24 behind Johnathan Franklin, Brett Hundley and the big-play Bruin offense. Only one game is on the docket for Friday. Here is a look at the college football slate.
7 p.m. - San Jose State at Stanford (Pac-12 Network)
The Stanford Cardinal have moved on without uber-quarterback Andrew Luck, but are still a force to be reckoned with, ranked No. 21 in the preseason Associated Press poll. They open with the local rival San Jose State Spartans, a team the Cardinal has beaten in 50 of their 65 all-time meetings.
5 p.m. - Boise State at Michigan State
This is the only other game Friday featuring ranked teams, with the No. 24 Broncos traveling to Lansing to battle the No. 13 Spartans. Carter Blcakburn and Rod Gilmore will be on the call for ESPN.
