Chivas USA Owner Jorge Vergara Fires General Manager Jose Domene

After the major announcement yesterday that Chivas USA was now fully under the control of the owners of CD Guadalajara, news came out today that Chivas GM Jose Domene had been dismissed from the team. It's likely the first of many changes that will take place at CD Guadalajara's sister club in MLS.

According to the LA Times report, coach Robin Fraser is supposed to be safe for now, but the Guadalajara owners are notoriously impatient with managers. It's currently expected that a number of other front office personnel will be fired by week's end.

Chivas are currently exploring options to get out of the shadow of the LA Galaxy in The Home Depot Center. While the franchise got off to a promising start, attendance is second worst in MLS and the playoffs are no longer the expectation they became in the early years.
