The Los Angeles Dodgers return home to Chavez Ravine to host their NL West rivals the Arizona Diamondbacks, starting with a duel of the aces between Clayton Kershaw and Arizona's Ian Kennedy on Thursday.
Kershaw (12-7, 2.84 ERA) is 5-1 with a 1.94 ERA in his last six starts but had one of his worst outings of the year the last time facing the Diamondbacks. The Cy Young winner allowed five runs and five hits over 5.1 innings of work en route to a 5-3 loss in Arizona back on July 6.
As for Kennedy (11-11 4.44 ERA), he is 1-3 with a 6.33 ERA over his last four starts, and will be looking to help his squad avoid losing seven in a row for the first time since July 2010.
First pitch is set for 7:10 p.m. PT with coverage on KCAL.
