The second round of the 2012 U.S. Open continues Thursday, and a few notable names will be back on the court.
On the men's side, No. 1 seed Roger Federer will headline the action. Federer cruised through the first round in straight sets and will now face Bjorn Phau in the second round. No. 5 seed Jo-Wilfried Tsonga and No. 6 seed Tomas Berdych will also be in action Thursday. Beverly Hills resident and No. 23 seed Mardy Fish will face Nikolay Davydenko.
No. 4 seed Serena Williams will be back on the court on the women's draw, as will No. 2 seed Agnieszka Radwanska. Williams will face Maria Jose Martinez Sanchez on Thursday. Williams' sister Venus will also be on the court, as she faces No. 6 seed Angelique Kerber.
Thursday's action begins at 8 a.m. PT with television coverage beginning on the Tennis Channel. The Tennis Channel will have live match coverage from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. with additional coverage available on ESPN2 from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. Matches can also be streamed live online at the U.S. Open official site.

4 p.m.: No. 1 Roger Federer vs. Bjorn Phau
8 a.m.: No. 4 Serena Williams vs. Maria Jose Martinez Sanchez
8 a.m.: No. 2 Agnieszka Radwanska vs. Carla Suarez Navarro
4 p.m.: No. 6 Angelique Kerber vs. Venus Williams
