Dodgers' Yasiel Puig to play in Arizona Fall League

With the Arizona Fall League just a little more than a month away, the Los Angeles Dodgers will be sending seven minor-league prospects to take part in the AFL, including up-and-coming Cuban outfielder Yasiel Puig.

Puig signed with the Dodgers back on June 29 with a seven-year, $42 million deal. He's seen time with Class-A Rancho Cucamonga this season, batting .386 with one home run, four RBIs and six stolen bases in 12 games played.

Los Angeles will also send LHP Eric Eadington, C Gorman Erickson, RHP Red Patterson, OF Joc Pederson, LHP Steven Rodriguez and 2B Rafael Ynoa. All seven wil play for the Mesa Solar Sox in the six-team league, which lasts for five weeks this fall.

The AFL season will start on Oct. 9.
