The No. 1 USC Trojans open their 2012 college football season against the Hawaii Warriors at home on Saturday at the Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum. Gus Johnson will call the game, which begins at 4:30 p.m. PDT on Fox, the first time USC has appeared on the network.
Johnson will team with analyst Charles Davis and sideline reporter Julie Alexandria for the telecast, the first of two Trojans games on Fox in a three-week span, as the September 15 game against the Stanford Cardinal in Palo Alto will also be on Fox.
USC has won 14 consecutive season openers, and they have beaten Hawaii in all seven previous meetings by an average score of 49-15. The last meeting between the two schools came in 2010, when Matt Barkley threw five touchdown passes - three of them to Robert Woods - in a 49-36 win.
The game is sold out, one of three USC home games to sell out so far this season.
