Dodgers To Visit Yankee Stadium In 2013 Interleague Play, Per Report

The Los Angeles Dodgers will visit the New York Yankees in interleague play during the 2013 season for the first time ever, according to the Los Angeles Times.

The storied franchises have never played a regular season game in New York against one another. The Yankees visited Dodger Stadium in 2004 and 2010.

Though the regular season hasn't seen much of Dodgers-Yankees for obvious league reasons, the postseason has been chalked full of Dodger blue and Yankee stripes as the two teams have played in 11 World Series against each other, with the last one coming in 1981.

After the Dodgers pulled off a blockbuster deal with the Boston Red Sox to land Josh Beckett, Carl Crawford and Adrian Gonzalez, the Dodgers are pulling out all the stops to catch the San Francisco Giants in the NL West, make the playoffs and try to get back to the World Series where the NL East leading Yankees could be waiting. The Dodgers are a 1/2 game back in the NL Wild Card race and two games back of the Giants.
