Galaxy Vs. Crew: Robbie Keane Goal Earns 1-1 Draw For L.A.

Robbie Keane kept the Galaxy from the loss column

Presswire

The Los Angeles Galaxy headed to Columbus looking to move up the standings against the Crew, but were satisfied to leave with a 1-1 draw after Robbie Keane saved L.A. from taking the loss.

Jairo Arrieta put Columbus on the board first just two minutes into the second half. L.A. responded in the 64th minute when Michael Stephens' through-ball found Sean Franklin down the right sideline. Franklin nutmegged Columbus' Dilly Duka before crossing to Keane for the equalizer. The goal brings Keane's total to 11 on the season, including nine goals in his last 11 matches.

The Galaxy now have two matches as part of the CONCACAF Champions League, taking on Isidro Metapan on Thursday and another against Puerto Rico Islanders, both to be played at The Home Depot Center.

L.A. also has a match against FC Dallas this Sunday.
