The Los Angeles Angels will be without superstar slugger Albert Pujols for Wednesday night's contest against the Cleveland Indians in Anaheim.

Manager Mike Scioscia was quick to alleviate any concern for the health of the Halos' slugger.

"I'm just trying to rest his legs," Scioscia told ESPN Los Angeles. "He'll get back in there tomorrow."

The player known as "The Machine" could use some rest as he has turned things around of late after struggling early in the year -- most recently going 4-for-8 in his last two contests.

The Angels are going to need Pujols to be well-rested going into the season's stretch run as the Angels try to cut into a seven-game deficit behind the Texas Rangers.

The rest of the lineups will be as follows:

Cleveland Indians

Jason Kipnis - 2B
Asdrubal Cabrera - DH
