Kevin Harvick has been solidly in the top 10 of the overall points standings in the 2012 NASCAR Sprint Cup Series for most of the season, but is in danger of being pushed out with only five races left to go before the cutoff. Harvick will need a very strong showing on Sunday as NASCAR returns to Watkins Glen.
Harvick is in ninth place in the standings heading into Sunday's race and is just two points in front of Clint Bowyer. While both drivers have at least 50 points on current Wild Card leader Kasey Kahne, they know that no lead is perfectly safe as things are getting down to the wire.
Sunday's race will be televised on ESPN. The green flag is scheduled to wave at 10:20 a.m. PT. There is a low chance of rain and the temperature should be in the high 70s. There IS live streaming of the race today, which can be found at NASCAR.com's "RaceBuddy" site and on the "Watch ESPN" app. If you'll be away from your computer and TV, check the Motor Racing Network's web site for a list of affiliate radio stations in your area.
