London Olympics 2012: Two LA Natives Earn Gold In Women's 4x400m Relay Final

Team USA picked up another gold medal on Saturday, thanks to the efforts of the women's 4x400m relay team. Allyson Felix and Francenca McCorory are Los Angeles natives, and together with Deedee Trotter and Sanya Richards-Ross they beat the field by nearly four seconds, finishing with a time of 3:16.87. Russia took the silver medal with a time of 3:20.23, and Jamaica rounds out the podium with a time of 3:20.95.

Felix, a former USC Trojan, has now earned three medals in the 2012 Olympics. She picked up a gold in the 200m event, and was part of the relay team that set the world record in the 4x100m relay. It is McCorory's first medal of the games.
