Tour de France 2012, Stage 7 Results: Christopher Froome Wins On Saturday

The seventh stage of the 2012 Tour de France took place on Saturday afternoon from Tomblaine to La Planche dos Belles Filles, and it was Christopher Froome who came out victorious. The course had a very tough incline towards the end, truly testing the endurance and strength of the races. Following his win, Froome now sits in ninth place at 1:32 back of the leader.

That leader is now Bradley Wiggins. This marks the first time that someone other than Fabians Cancellara has led the 2012 Tour De France. Wiggins has completed the first seven stages in 34 hours, 21 minutes and 20 seconds, and he sits 10 seconds ahead of the competition. Cadel Evans is in second place and Vincenzo Nibali now sits in third.

The Tour will continue on Sunday as stage eight begins.
