Farmers Classic 2012: Sam Querrey, Ricardas Berankis Will Face Off In Finals On Sunday

The final day of the 2012 Farmers Classic is upon us. The week-long event at UCLA has seen no shortage of upsets and is close to crowning a champion in the latest ATP event in the 2012 U.S. Open Series. No. 2 seed Sam Querrey managed to be the only seeded player left standing. He will face Ricardas Berankis in the finals on Sunday.

Berankis punched his ticket into the finals with a semifinal upset of No. 6 seed Marinko Matosevic on Saturday. Berankis ended up dispatching Matosevic in straight sets, 7-5, 6-1 to advance.

Querrey also advanced in straight sets, although he had a tougher time of it. He took his first set against Rajeev Ram, 6-3, but fell behind in the second set before battling back and ultimately prevailing, 7-6 (7-4).

The championship singles match will air live on Sunday, beginning at 1 p.m. PT on ESPN 2.
