The 2012 Summer Olympics opening ceremony takes place tonight. Unfortunately, you're out of luck if you want to watch this event live. Here are the details for watching tomorrow's Opening Ceremony.
TV coverage: The West Coast broadcast starts up around 7:30 PM PT on NBC. Your announcers of the ceremony will be Bob Costas and Matt Lauer, with Meredith Vieira providing correspondence.
Streaming: Nothing online will be happening for you live. Despite the ceremony starting up at 9 p.m. local time (meaning a 1 p.m. West Coast start), there will be no live stream available to American viewers. NBC's tape-delayed coverage of the games (which will be tape-delayed from the East Coast) will be the only way fans in the Bay Area will enjoy this fanfare.
Additionally, there will be a tape-delay of the tape-delay of the tape-delay later on in the night if you miss the evening show!
