2012 Belmont Stakes Video: Union Rags Takes It All

I'll Have Another was not able to make a run for the Triple Crown on Saturday, but the 2012 Belmont Stakes ended up being every bit as thrilling and suspenseful as the Kentucky Derby and the Preakness Stakes were earlier this year.

For the third time in the 2012 Triple Crown races, a thrilling come-from-behind chase down the home stretch was required in order for a horse to secure the victory. On Saturday, in the longest of the three Triple Crown races, Union Rags bode his time until the final few hundred yards, then surged ahead on the inside rail to overtake Paynter at the wire by a nose in a photo finish. Atigun took third place, while Union Rags' fellow favorite Dullahan fell behind early.
