NCAA Baseball Tournament: UCLA Advances To Super Regionals, Will Face TCU/Mississippi Winner

The UCLA Bruins defeated the Creighton Blue Jays 13-5 on Sunday to capture the Los Angeles Regional of the 2012 NCAA Baseball Tournament. UCLA advanced to the Super Regional round for the third time in the last six years, where they will face the winner of Monday's battle between TCU and Mississippi.

The dates and times for next weekend's three-game Super Regional series will be announced Monday night at 5 p.m. PDT.

The victory for the Bruins (45-14) on Sunday was their seventh straight. Jeff Gelalich went 3-for-4 with a pair of home runs, giving him a team-high 11 on the season.

"I went up there not trying to do too much. My plan was to go up there, see a pitch and put a good swing on it," Gelalich said after the game. "I got lucky that I got enough of the ball and hit it in the right spot, and it went out."

Zach Weiss allowed three runs and seven hits in five innings for UCLA to earn the win.
