Wimbledon 2012 Scores And Results: Andy Murray Advances To Round 4, Andy Roddick Loses

Day 6 of the 2012 Wimbledon Tennis Championships finished up with Andy Murray desperately trying to finish off Marcos Baghdatis before the 11 p.m. end-of-day time limit kicked in. Murray took the first set in the match 7-5, but lost the second 3-6 and seemed to struggle early in the third. Midway through the third he began to show some life and from that point on the momentum was all his. He won the third set 7-5 and by the middle of the fourth set Baghdatis looked exhausted. Murray kept the pressure on, anxious to not see the match delayed until the following day, and when it hit 11 p.m. he was ahead 4-1. Officials allowed play to continue, and Murray didn't need more than two minutes to finish off Baghdatis. He dominated the final set, ultimately winning 6-1.

In other action from the day at Wimbledon, Andy Roddick lost to David Ferrer. He took the first set but lost the next three, seeing what may be his last Wimbledon run come to a close. In the Ladies' draw, Los Angeles' own Serena Williams will advance to Round 4 after defeating Jie Zheng in three sets.
