2012 Olympic Trials: Rebecca Soni Qualifies In 100 Meter Breaststroke

Day 3 of the United States Olympic Trials concluded, and there's one swimmer from the Los Angeles area who punched her ticket to England.

Rebecca Soni did make it to the London 2012 team, but in a big shocker she didn't end up finishing with the top overall time in the 100 meter breaststroke, falling to Breeja Larson overall. Jessica Hardy (who swims with the Trojan Swimming Club) finished third overall.

In other Olympic swimming trials results from Wednesday night, Matt Grevers and Nick Thoman both qualified in the men's 100 meter backstroke, Missy Franklin and Rachel Bootsma made it to London as part of the women's 100 meter backstroke, and Michael Phelps just edged out Ryan Lochte for the win in the men's 200 meter freestyle.

The Olympic Swimming Trials continue Thursday.
