2012 Wimbledon Results: Vania King, Venus Williams Both Exit Early

Los Angeles is off to a rough start at Wimbledon as two of the four players with LA connections are already out of the tournament. Venus Williams fell to Elena Vesnina and Vania King lost to Petra Cetkovska, 6-4, 6-2, both in the first round.

All that's left now is one on the men's side and one on the women's as 10-seed Mardy Fish and sixth-seeded Serena Williams try to keep the LA area represented.

Fish will face Ruben Ramirez Hidalgo in the first round and Williams will go up against Barbora Zahlavova-Strycova. Time will tell whether or not they move on or join their LA counterparts.

Top-seeds Maria Sharapova and Novak Djokovic won their first round matches and are headed to the second round.
