The Toyota/Save Mart 350 took place at Sonoma on Sunday in the latest stop for the 2012 NASCAR Sprint Cup Series. Bakersfield native Kevin Harvick is likely not very happy with how he performed in the race, but he will remain in the No. 6 slot in the overall standings for at least one more week.
Harvick finished in a disappointing 16th place in the race, now sitting just three points ahead of new No. 7 Clint Bowyer. Bowyer took the checkered flag at Sonoma on Sunday to pick up his sixth career win. More encouragingly, however, is the fact that Harvick is just one point behind Tony Stewart, who finished in second place for the second straight week. That makes three top-three finishes in a row for Stewart.
