NHL Draft Results: Kings Make Four More Selections

The Los Angeles Kings did not have a draft pick in the second and third rounds but have picked up players in each of the last three rounds in their first draft as Stanley Cup champions.

With the no. 121 overall pick in round 4, the Kings selected LW Nikolay Prokhorkin out of Russia. At no. 151 overall in round 5, the Kings selected D Colin Miller out of Canada. And in round 6, the Kings selected RW Tomas Hyka out of the Czech Republic with pick no. 171 and American D Paul Ladue with pick no. 181.

The Kings still have pick no. 211 in round 7 to round out their set of picks. On Friday, the Kings selected LW Tanner Pearson with the 30th pick overall. Pearson is currently playing in the Ontario Hockey League and is someone who has truly earned his opportunity to play in the NHL after not being selected in two previous drafts.
