The UCLA Bruins were handed their first loss in the 2012 College World Series on Sunday night, as they were shut out by the now 2-0 Arizona Wildcats. The Bruins must now win or go home. In fact, they must win three straight games or go home.
The Florida State Seminoles eliminated Stony Brook in a blowout win on Sunday. Now UCLA will face Florida State in an elimination game on Tuesday, with each team standing at 1-1 after losses to Arizona. Should the Bruins prevail in that game against FSU, they will play Arizona again on Thursday. Should UCLA lose on Tuesday, their season will come to an end.
The College World Series is a double-elimination format until getting down to the final two teams, at which point those finalists will play in a best-of-three series. You can find a full, interactive bracket at the official NCAA website.
