College World Series 2012: UCLA Loses To Arizona, 4-0

On Sunday night in Omaha, the UCLA Bruins faced off against the Arizona Wildcats in the 2012 College World Series. Both teams had already picked up wins in their opening games are were looking to start the NCAA tournament by going up 2-0. Unfortunately, only one of those two teams was able to do so. It ended up being Arizona, who took the game by a final score of 4-0.

The Bruins wasted some opportunities, most notably loading the bases in the fifth inning and being unable to get a run home.

UCLA will play Florida State in their next game. The loser of UCLA-Florida State will end up going home. FSU eliminated Stony Brook from the tournament earlier on Sunday.

The College World Series is a double-elimination format until getting down to the final two teams, at which point those finalists will play in a best-of-three series. You can find a full, interactive bracket at the official NCAA website.
