On Sunday, Michigan International Speedway will play host to the Quicken Loans 400, the latest stop in the 2012 NASCAR Sprint Cup Series. The track at Michigan was causing tires to blister, prompting Goodyear and NASCAR to bring in extra-hard tires for Sunday's race.
Bakersfield native Kevin Harvick is trying to make a run at re-entry into the top five of the Sprint Cup standings. He is sitting pretty in the starting lineup for the Quicken Loans 400, holding down the No. 2 position behind pole sitter Marcos Ambrose.
The green flag is expected to wave at 10:16 a.m. PT on Sunday. The race will be televised on TNT for the second time this season. There IS live streaming of the race today, which can be found at NASCAR.com's "RaceBuddy" site. If you'll be away from your computer and TV, check the Motor Racing Network's web site for a list of affiliate radio stations in your area.
