Tiger Woods was the betting favorite heading into the 2012 U.S. Open and had hopes of capturing a record-tying fourth career title at the prestigious Grand Slam event. Woods enters the final day of play on Sunday five strokes off the lead and no longer the betting favorite to win, but still has an outside chance of pulling off the victory.
While the classic Woods runs of years past may not be common (or even likely) any more, it is more likely that the current leaders could all have disastrous final rounds on the nightmare of a course at the Olympic Club in San Francisco, that has been causing the world's best golfers fits.
Jim Furyk and Graeme McDowell enter the final round at 1-under and sit tied atop the leaderboard.
