U.S. Open 2012 Scores: Tiger Woods Tied For Second At -1

Tiger Woods is off to his best start in a major in quite some time. Woods managed to weather the storm at the US Olympic Club and finish with one of the few rounds under par. Woods had only two bogeys as opposed to three birdies, giving him a solid -1 on a golf course which has allowed up to this point only seven players to go under par.

Woods currently trails Michael Thompson, who finished with a strong round of -4. But you have to figure he's in the best overall position to make a charge and get on top of the leaderboard going into the weekend, putting him in a position he's generally been comfortable with in winning major tournaments.

Full leaderboard can be found here.
