Clippers Rumors: Neil Olshey Finalist For Blazers GM Job

The Los Angeles Clippers have yet to really reach out to general manager Neil Olshey, which is allowing him to go out and explore other avenues. One of the most prominent vacancies out there is currently the Portland Trail Blazers job, a position where Olshey's name has been circulated.

The Blazers have reportedly narrowed their list to four finalists, and Olshey has already met with the Blazers. However, Olshey can't consider himself the favorite for the job, because each of these candidates appear to have their own staunch supporters inside the organization.

John Canzano of the Oregonian has more about Olshey.

David Morway, the general manager of the Indiana Pacers, is believed by many to be the favored candidate of Blazers president Larry Miller. Meanwhile, if you believe insiders, Allen confidante Bert Kolde is pushing for Los Angeles Clippers general manager Neil Olshey.

Trouble is, Olshey is a client of agent Warren LeGarie. Remember, LeGarie also represented former Blazers GMs John Nash and Kevin Pritchard as well as ex-assistant general manager Tom Penn. You'd think Allen wouldn't want to eat at that restaurant again.

This figures to go right down to the wire.
