The UCLA Bruins rose one spot to the number 10 ranking in the USA Today NCAA Baseball Coaches Poll, a ranking based on the votes of 21 Division I college teams. UCLA had put together a seven game win streak, but that came to an end Sunday when Cal was able to hold on against a late comeback and win 6-5. The Bruins have a 38-14 overall record, and a record of 3-1 in the last week was enough to bump them up the rankings.
UCLA rose in all four of the major polls, going from 12 to 10 in the National Collegiate Baseball Writers Association Poll, 11 to 10 in the Collegiate Baseball Newspaper Poll, and 11 to 9 with Baseball America. Other Pac-12 teams in the polls include Oregon at number nine, Stanford at number 11, Arizona at number 13, and Oregon State at number 20.
