Kevin Stadler had himself quite an eventful first round at the 2012 Players Championship. The USC graduate put up seven birdies on 2, 4, 9, 11, 12, 14, and 17 with three bogeys on 1, 8 and 10. He currently sits at four-under, three shots off the lead, trailing Ian Poulter and Martin Laird.
Tiger Woods is struggling. He just doesn't have the feel for it right now. Woods sits at two-over with five bogeys and three birdies, bogeying the first and last holes, two of the first three (although a birdie was sandwiched in-between), and three on the back nine.
Rickie Fowler (from Murrieta) is currently at even par with three birdies on the back nine and bogeys on six, eight, 12 and 18. Brendan Steele joins him at that spot. Kevin Chappell (a UCLA graduate) is two-over par.
