The UCLA Bruins dropped a few spots in the national college baseball polls after losing two out of three games to the Oregon Ducks this past weekend.
UCLA (21-7, 8-4 Pac-12) dropped four spots from No. 7 to No. 11 in the latest USA Today/ESPN Top 25 coaches' poll.
The Bruins avoided a sweep on Saturday, holding off the No. 17 Ducks (20-9, 8-4) with a 8-6 victory. UCLA and Oregon are currently tied for second in the Pac-12, one game behind No. 12 Arizona (23-9, 9-3).
Catcher Tyler Heineman has caught fire for the Bruins, holding a team-best .400 batting average; he is currently riding a 10-game hit streak. The Bruins host Cal State Fullerton on Tuesday night and then travel to Arizona for a three-game conference showdown series.
Besides Oregon and Arizona, the other Pac-12 school ranked in the coaches' poll is Stanford at No. 6.
