2012 Masters Score Update: Tiger Woods Starts Strong, Shoots Even Par On Saturday

Tiger Woods had plenty of momentum heading into the 2012 Masters. Coming off his first win in more than a year, many thought he could be a dark horse candidate to win the tournament after impressing last weekend. Woods entered the day at three-over par and needed to make a move if he hoped to get near the top of the leader board, which was at five-under as of Saturday morning.

After shooting par on the first two holes, Tiger made back-to-back birdies on No. 3 and 4. With some momentum and the crowd behind him, many thought Woods would make his Saturday run that so many of us watched him do for years. Despite the strong start, though, he would struggle throughout the rest of the day.

Tiger recorded a bogey on the sixth hole. After shooting par on seven and eight, he hit another bogey on No. 9. Woods then proceeded to shoot an even par on the back-nine.

He sits at +3 for the tournament, which has him tied for 38th place. Those towards the top of the leader board just began their days. Unless something drastic happens, it looks like Woods will finish pretty far down the board at the 2012 Masters.
