On Sunday, the city of Long Beach will be host to the 2012 edition of the Toyota Grand Prix of Long Beach, an annual road race that has been taking place in Southern California since 1975 and is now a part of the IZOD IndyCar Series. The race will feature open-wheel Indy Cars taking 85 laps through the streets of Long Beach.
The cars begin by heading west along Shoreline before looping back around Toyota Square and hanging a hard left onto Pine Avenue. The drivers will then head eastbound on Seaside Way before turning right past Linden. A final hairpin turn will plant the racers back on Shoreline, where the lap will end and begin anew.
