NASCAR At Martinsville 2012: Kevin Harvick Earns No. 2 In Starting Lineup

On Sunday, NASCAR will come to Martinsville Speedway in Virginia for the Goody's Fast Relief 500. Kevin Harvick will enter his second short-track race in as many weeks as the second-place driver in the starting lineup. His positioning is somewhat fitting, since he is currently in second place behind Greg Biffle in the 2012 Sprint Cup standings.

Harvick will hope to leapfrog Biffle and is in an excellent position to do so. He is only seven points behind Biffle in the standings and Biffle was only able to place 26th in the time trials. 10 points behind Harvick in the standings is Dale Earnhardt, Jr., who will be 14th in the starting lineup. All three of those drivers are sure to be gunning for one another as they race for 500 laps on a track that clocks in at just over half a mile in length.

The race will be televised nationally on FOX and the green flag will be waved at 10:14 p.m. PT.
