Long Beach State's Casper Ware Named Honorable Mention AP All-American

According to a tweet by the LA Times' Chris Foster, Long Beach State's Casper Ware has been named an honorable mention AP All-American for the second consecutive year.

Ware is the only player from the LA area to make the list as he led the LA area's lone NCAA tournament team this season. Ware averaged 17.4 points and 3.4 assists per game as a senior guard for the 49ers. His percentages dipped across the board as a shooter but his overall production was very similar to his junior campaign.

He ended his career with what made him great and what made him inconsistent. Against UC-Santa Barbara with an NCAA Tournament spot on the line, he put up 33 points and hit eight threes to lead the 49ers to an 11th seed in the tourney. But against New Mexico in the second round of the tourney, he shot only 5-for-19 for 17 points as the Rams bowed out early.

But Ware will be remembered for being part of the Rams' arrival as one of the top programs in the LA area.
