After the third round of the 2012 Northern Trust Open, Phil Mickelson and reigning US PGA champion Keegan Bradley share the top spot on the leader board at seven under par. Mickelson shot a 70 on Saturday but Bradley made the bigger move on Saturday, shooting a 66.
Mickelson opened with a birdie but had just a mediocre round after that.
"I probably didn't play the greatest today, but I was able to kind of salvage a good round and had a good break on eight where I holed out from the fairway; that was a nice little bonus," Mickelson said, PGATour.com reported.
Mickelson and Bradley weren't the only two that set themselves up in the third round, though. Bryce Molder, who is tied with Pat Perez and Jonathan Byrd at six under par also shot a 66 on Saturday as did Aaron Baddeley, who is now sitting at five under par.
